September's Theme is Embracing Possibility
Hello Families,

It feels like forever since I created a newsletter for you. So much has happened in the brief summer break and I'm so so grateful we are back together again.

This year, I plan to make a newsletter once a month (usually at the beginning of the month) to give you a sense of our theme for the month, our plans and some quick thoughts on bringing UU faith into your home.

For today, I just wanted to share pictures of our lovely Autumn Equinox gathering from last Sunday, a lovely welcome song, and the upcoming calendar for the next few weeks. Enjoy!
Pictures from the week
Here is our sweet beginning circle. We share Roses/Buds/Thorns and this week we learned an autumn equinox body prayer.
Beautiful balance
Many people chose to walk the spiral path for the Equinox. We challenged our balance by walking on the bricks and across the logs. Some stood in the center on one leg!
Beatrice made a lovely stone spiral
Leo and Sylvan (and their mamas!) made this glorious creature
Charlie was so proud of his rock formation. Look at that smile!
We played with mini teeter totters and balanced rocks on each end
Lulu worked for a very long time creating a rock, apple and stick mandala masterpiece
Teddy and Rosie tried all kinds of balancing, some with pinecones, some with stones, some even with tomatoes from the garden!
Song of the Week
Just As You Are
with Lea Morris

Just as you are
Without changing a thing
Just as you are
I accept you
I see you
I hear you
I welcome you in
Just as you are
Just as you are
Upcoming Calendar
As we begin our year together, we are so blessed to be able to gather in person. We plan to hold RE outside at 10am for the next few weeks, and then re-assesss to decide if we will move indoors or online (or both). At this time, masks are optional outside, and mandatory inside the building. Children and families are welcome in the sanctuary, with masks.

In Person Services!

September 26th: A Story-Telling Multigen Outside (weather permitting):
featuring Sacred Tales and music by four Rhode Island storytellers: Joan Bailey, Jeanne Bent, Anne-Marie Forer and Cindy Killavey
