Season's greetings from our home to yours!

"A bend in the road, is not the end of the road...unless you fail to make the turn."
~ Helen Keller

Not a day goes by that my staff and I don’t acknowledge the incredible opportunity to be on a journey towards healing with so many amazing and brave teenagers.  It is not something any of us take lightly – shouldering the immense burden of sometimes being the only constant in a young person’s life … being their only source of encouragement and hope for a better tomorrow.

But with that, also comes tremendous pride in seeing our students' excitement when they’ve accomplished a goal or made a healthy choice to avoid conflict or when they have found their light in a world of darkness.  Our kids are hurting; they are suffering from substance abuse, depression, suicide, neglect, domestic violence, anxiety, sexual and physical assault, life stress, friends stress, school stress …. Our kids need and want to be healthy and strong and armed with the ability to cope, to achieve balance, to create harmony – and we get to be there as they do. The realization that you have made a difference in someone else’s life? You cannot ask for a bigger gift at the holidays, or any time for that matter.

So as the Youth Project wraps up year 16 of working with the teens and families of Santa Clarita, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to YOU for supporting us, believing in our mission and traveling with us on the road to so many better tomorrows.  Because our services are 100% free, we rely on the kindness of you and the community we impact - so thank you for allowing us to move into 2017 with a roof over our heads and love in our hearts, ready to serve hundreds of kids on 14 school campuses in the Santa Clarita Valley. We simply can’t do it without you.

We always tell our kids “there is no shame in asking for help,” so we are taking our own advice: Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us continue to meet the needs of our teens? Your support will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of so many youth in search of guidance.  Every bit makes a difference.

Thank you again for letting us be of service; it us our absolute honor to be part of your lives, this community and the health and well- being of our students.

Happy Holidays to you and yours,
The Youth Project Family
