GOP Appeals to Supreme Court In Lawsuit Against Governor
State House and Senate Republicans filed a request late on May 22 for an emergency bypass of the Court of Appeals to have the Michigan Supreme Court hear oral arguments in its lawsuit challenging Gov. WHTS's Jackie Green Runs to Raise Thousands for Kids Food Basket
On April 20, WHTS-FM (Grand Rapids) morning co-host Jackie Green ran a 26.2-mile marathon through downtown Grand Rapids, raising nearly $4,000 for Kids Food Basket, an organization that provides meals for kids and has stepped up its efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic when local children no longer have the guaranteed easy access to the safety net of school and school meals.   Read More

Jacobs Media Survey Finds Radio Listening Rebounding as Stay-at-Home Orders Ease
InsideRadio reports there's more evidence radio listening is rebounding in May following a decline due to stay-at-home orders enacted in March and April to stem the spread of the coronavirus, according to an online survey conducted in mid-May by Jacobs Media.   Read More

WWTV/WWUP, WTCM Raise $6,610 for 4 Local Charities
Back in February, Heritage Broadcasting's WWTV/WWUP-TV (Cadillac) and Midwestern Broadcasting's WTCM-AM (Traverse City) partnered to put on the first-ever Traverse City Golf Expo. This both celebrated one of Northern Michigan's favorite summer sports and raised money for local charities. The totals were just announced and four different non-profits will each receive $1,652.50 thanks to the fundraising event.   Read More
