DOCAT Workshop
April 27, 2019 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church
The Offices of Hispanic Ministry and Youth and Young Adult Ministry are collaborating to offer a bilingual training on the DOCAT. This resource contains ways to implement the Social Doctrine of the Church for our youth and young adults. Cost is $10 per person, which includes meals and a free copy of the DOCAT ($18 value). CORE team members, DREs, Courageously Living the Gospel implementation teams and parish priests are invited to attend.

Women’s Discernment Day Postponed

Introducing a new Alumni Society for USF Catholics
USF graduates from the last 50 years recently gathered for a social event to hear about the newly formed Catholic Bulls Alumni Society, an organization that seeks to ensure the future of the USF Catholic community by providing opportunities for faith-based fellowship and services that support students and alumni.  Alumni are invited to attend the next event, the Baccalaureate and Confirmation Mass & Social on Sunday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. Click here to learn more.
Saint Leo University Announces New Scholarships for Transfer Students
An Open House is planned for Saturday, May 4, 2019 to share more details. Saint Leo University is offering a new scholarship to ease the transition for transfer students pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree. The Study Florida Transfer Scholarship is available for students transferring to Saint Leo for the Fall 2019 Semester. Classes begin Tuesday, August 20th. Click here to learn more.
Fund is Established to Help Notre Dame Rebuild
Many around the world watched in sadness as a fire tore through historic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, causing severe damage to the centuries-old structure. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. has set up a fund to help the Cathedral resurrect and rebuild. The Shrine, whose board members consist of the Administrative Committee of the USCCB, has the infrastructure to manage donated funds. Click here to read more.
