Join The Happy Vegan as they kick-off the 2019 Pittsburgh Veg Fest with a One Mile Walk around Allegheny Commons Park. What a great way to start the morning before mingling among the best vendors in town.  All fitness levels are welcome to participate. 

The Happy Vegan will lead participants on an easy and fun, One Mile Walk around Allegheny Commons Park before the Veg Fest opens. Participants can come solo, with family, or even with their favorite pet (must be safely on a leash). With advanced registration for the event, participants will receive a coupon for Notcho Nocheez. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Justice for Animals.

What is a VegFest?

  • This FREE admission event is hosted by the non-profit organization Justice For Animals
  • VegFest has grown to over 8,000-10,000 in attendance annually by offering activities like cooking and food demonstrations, yoga and kids activities
  • PLUS live music, shopping, and informative speakers that are sure to keep everyone entertained all day!
  • Small business merchandise and wellness vendors, non-profit animal welfare organizations and adoptions, along with the city’s BEST veg food will be spread out across Allegheny Park.
  • Best food festival in Pittsburgh – VOTED 2 years in a row!

Who is Justice for Animals?

Justice for Animals is a non-profit in Pittsburgh, PA, that has helped and supported many legislative initiates in Pittsburgh towards protecting animals. They have organized many demonstrations around the city including the anti-circus, carriage horse rides, fur, deer cull and roadside zoos.

JFA is proud to sponsor Pittsburgh’s one and only VegFest, the city’s largest and best gathering of vegan food vendors and local product vendors. VegFest supports small businesses and local music, along with many animal welfare non-profits, ethical clothing lines, cruelty-free makeup and skincare products, and with over 100 vendors, there’s something everyone will love!
