Downtown Project Paving Work Starts Next Week
Work is scheduled to begin August 10* and take approximately 5 weekdays to complete. The City contractor will use a method known as "Grind and Overlay" to mill down and then pave segments of West Blithedale, East Blithedale, Throckmorton and Corte Madera Avenues. Residents and businesses should expect impacts such as construction equipment, noise, dust, lane closures, limited driveway access and parking restrictions while the work is in progress. Learn more.

Reporting Businesses in Violation of Public Health Orders - The County of Marin has created a system where concerned community members can report a business they believe to be not in compliance with the Public Health Order. Those wishing to report a public health order violation by a business can submit their concerns to SIPViolation@marincounty.org. Learn more.

Preparing for Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) - We have already had one Red Flag Day this fire season, and there are more to come. If weather forecasts indicate an increased risk of wind-related damage to overhead electric lines combined with dry vegetation susceptible to fire ignition and spread, it may be necessary for PG&E to turn off the electricity serving that area. Annual Pavement Rehabilitation Update - On August 3, 2020 Maggiora-Ghilotti Inc. completed construction of the 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project as part of the 5 Year Pavement Maintenance Plan approved by Council on December 19, 2019. Learn More.

Annual Sewer Rehabilitation Update - The 2019 Sanitary Sewer Repair Project includes sewer repair of the Hot Spot locations and rehabilitates some sewer mains through open trench and trenchless Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) methods. Spare the Air at Home: Remote Work Benefits Air Quality, Employers and Employees
During the shelter-in-place many Bay Area employers switched to work home policies and procedures, resulting in a dramatic improvement in air quality and demonstrating that remote work can be an effective and efficient solution for companies. To keep air quality moving in the right direction, the Air District recently launched the Spare the Air Cut the Commute Pledge to encourage employers to commit to extending commute-free options whenever possible for employees. Learn more.
