JOHNSON: Virtual MAP Testing
Dear Johnson Families,

Each year, students at the Johnson campus take the MAP assessment in reading and math three times. This year, given the changes to educational plans due to Covid19, benchmarking data is all the more important for tracking student academic growth. For more information on MAP assessments, please carefully review the attached MAP FAQs. Given the circumstances of the start of the 20-21 school year and the length of the assessments, we have determined that it is in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety to administer MAP assessments virtually.

Where possible, your student’s assessments will be facilitated by their classroom teachers with the rest of their class. Your student will receive a Google Meet link from their teacher prior to their testing time slot, the teacher will then set forth virtual expectations and instructions for testing. Your student should take MAP in a quiet location, away from distractions, if possible. Please review the schedule below for your student’s day and time slot. Make-up time slots will be available as necessary.
Your child will need the internet and a computer or laptop to participate in MAP assessments. If you requested a Chromebook and/or hotshot for your child via the registration technology survey, those devices will be distributed during the in person Meet & Greet sessions, August 13th for Upper Elementary and August 17th for Middle/High School.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.

Best,

The Johnson Academic Team
