WE NEED YOU!
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR!
|
We have seen a lot of growth in our student enrollment here at Hyde Park School, a testament to the high quality education and wonderful community. The PTO organization exists primarily to support these students with financial, community, and infrastructure needs that are not provided by the district. For us to continue our success, we NEED volunteers to fill positions for the 2019-20 school year.
In order for the PTO to exist and to evolve, it requires new parents every year who want to engage and effect change. Our reach needs to be broad so that we can incorporate the opinions and desires of the entire Hyde Park School community. There are absolutely no requirements to volunteer in a position and you will be mentored by the person currently serving in that role. Every parent on our current board was a first-time volunteer who juggles work, kids, life and service to our school. So this is your opportunity; We welcome all candidates to come forward and join the team!!

New Registration System
Last week we announced more exciting changes are coming and today we are one step closer! We have decided on and approved a new registration platform that will make everyone’s lives easier. Sports Engine will provide a modern registration system that is mobile friendly, offers enhanced reporting and fully integrates with an improved website, a coaches site for team management and a phone based app to communicate to parents. And the best part, integration is fully automated through the registration process. This means less hassle for you, better communication and one website for all your athletic needs. More details to come on how to create your new profile soon!
Eagle of the Week
This week the honor goes to Luke Greiner! Luke started this volleyball season as a novice, but he works incredibly hard and has quickly picked up important skills. He listens to feedback, asks questions and has continued to improve. He never gives up and is always hustling to make plays on the court. He is a team player - encouraging his teammates and cheering them on. Luke is a valuable player on and off the field. His teacher Ms. Fischer commented that “Luke has a great sense of humor that he shares with the school. It can be seen in the student council videos he edits. He is always up for an academic challenge and is willing to help wherever needed. His zest for learning and fun is contagious.”
Luke is wonderful example of what it means to be an HPS Eagle student and athlete!
