Arabian Horse Riding Academy

The Arabian Horse Riding Academy is located at Om El Arab, in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. This grassroots program is a nonprofit offering riding lessons, work programs, summer camp, and the wonderful Friends of Foals Program. Children enjoy a variety of activities like local horse shows, gymkhanas, trail rides, and fun field trips. Over 20% of the students receive lessons at no cost. If you’d like to help or learn more, contact us, or better yet, come by for a visit. Visitors are our favorite part of being a Discovery Farm.

Planning to show your horse in a Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby Class at U.S. Nationals? 

Planning to show your horse in a Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby Class at U.S. Nationals? Be sure you horse is enrolled in the Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby Program. Enrollment into the program is required in order to show in the Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby Classes at U.S. Nationals.
 
The enrollment deadline for the second payment (or payment in full) for the Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby Program for U.S. Nationals is July1, 2021. In order to avoid late fees, the entry can be paid in full ($765 per class or $1,065 for Reining) or the second payment ($200 or $300 for Reining) must be postmarked/electronic transaction dated by July1, 2020. 
 
If you chose the payment option, the third payment must be postmarked/electronic transaction dated on or before August 1, 2021. Payments that are postmarked/electronic transaction dated after the first of each month will be assessed late fees.
 
All Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby horses must be enrolled into the program and total fees paid not later than the close of entries for U.S. Nationals. Nominations submitted after the original close of U.S. National Entries will be assessed an additional $750 late fee or an additional $1,000 late fee for Reining. Nomination fee does not include show entry fees, post entry fees, drug fees, stall fees, etc.
 
All entries into the Performance Futurity/Maturity/Derby Program must also be entered into corresponding Class for the U.S. National Championship Show via an official entry form.
 

NOTE:  A horse that is co-owned by two distinct non-family members cannot be shown in Maturity and Jackpot Classes at any AHA National Championship Show.
