Denim for a Difference
The College surpassed our previous fundraising efforts for the United Way Denim for a Difference Campaign, raising $320 in the April 2019 fundraiser. Special thanks to our donation collectors – Megan Mohn, Marie Rhodes, Sonja Cool, Suzanne Fry and Kenny Smith.

NCC Bunny Hunt
The Nicholas County Campus SGA sponsored a bunny hunt last week, with the winner receiving a giant chocolate bunny.
Angela Bryant found the bunny hidden on the campus in Summersville on Monday, April 15 (pictured above). Linda Yeager found the bunny on April 16, and Katie Mazella found it on April 17.
Mary Stansy found the bunny at the NCC on April 18 and won the chocolate bunny.

Volleyball 4 Autism
Students in New River CTC's Browning Social Service Club raised $3,000 for the The Un-Prescription Foundation for Autism, Inc . through their event Volleyball 4 Autism on Saturday, April 6.

Congratulations to the West Virginia State Troopers on their Battle for the Net win for the second year in a row, the Saints for their win in the experienced division and Team Mt. Vernon for their win in the beginner division!

NCC SGA Meet & Greet
The NCC SGA encouraged current students to get registered for classes early by holding meet and greet events with popcorn and games during the first week in April. Students who brought their registration form to the event were entered to win a prize basket.
WV Invests Grant
Education Collaborative
New River CTC's Office of Communications has worked with Greenbrier County Schools on a collaborative logo to use on partnership materials and signage.

The College signed an agreement with Greenbrier County Schools last month.

Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2020 is underway now through May 15, 2019.
 
During open enrollment, you can change your health plan, add, drop or change coverage for yourself and your dependents without a qualifying event, and make changes to your Mountaineer Flexible Benefits, if applicable.  
 
Policyholders will receive a Shopper’s Guide containing the information you need about the health coverage PEIA offers.

Coming to the Chuck Mathena Center
Join the Chuck Mathena Center for a night of Magic with Eli, June 1 at 7 p.m.! Eli is one of magic’s hottest rising stars and the most decorated young magician working in the US today. He represents the second generation in his all magic family. Cheeky and charming with wicked skills are just a few of the ways Eli has been described by his peers.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 3 and under, with a 10% discount for groups of ten or more.
