Our lives have significantly changed in a short period of time. The City of Elmhurst has been closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 and has acted quickly in taking preventative measures to combat the spread of this virus. While we have adjusted some of our operations to protect the public and our employees, we continue to operate without compromising essential and vital services to our community. 

We all have a role to play during this unprecedented time. Our City Employees are dedicated to continuing to serve the Elmhurst community. I’m asking you to also be dedicated to your community by following the health guidelines that now must be part of our everyday lives. I can assure you that we will continue with our mission, please join us in doing your part.

We will collect this content through the month of April, and feature it on our website and social pages. Some of the submissions may also make a debut in the next City of Elmhurst Front Porch Newsletter.

While City facilities remain closed to the public, please call the main phone line (630) 530-3000 to access the department of your choice or to talk with a staff person during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. If no staff person is available, please leave a voicemail and your message will be responded to. IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) includes $2+ trillion in funding including: immediate cash relief for individual citizens; a broad lending program for small business; and, targeted relief for hard-hit industries. 

Struggling to get started?  The following questions might help point you in the right direction. Do you need:
  • Capital to cover the cost of retaining employees? Then the Paycheck Protection Program might be right for you.
  • A quick infusion of a smaller amount of cash to cover you right now? You might want to look into an Emergency Economic Injury Grant.

To date 58.4% of Elmhurst household's have self-responded online or by phone. Self-responding keeps a US Census taker from coming to your door in weeks to come. Now more than ever it is vital that the Census is completed and self-responding is the safest way to complete your civic duty. Please fill out the online Census for your household today at  www.my2020census.gov   or call (844)330-2020 and be counted! The process is quick, easy, and safe - Everyone Counts Elmhurst!

We also encourage you to follow the City's  Facebook  and  Twitter pages, and to subscribe to our  Alert Center . We will use this method to communicate any information requiring a direct and immediate need to take action for public safety.
