Would you like to share your expertise with a wide public
o f Italian entrepreneurs? Contact us at
[email protected] for more information.

Through our video library we aim to provide specific
information on how to do business in the U.S.

Business Expert Channel.

As part of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce's mission to promote trade between Italy and the U.S.A, we  continuously encourage and support Italian entrepreneurs to invest and thrive in the U.S.A. market.

This is why we are offering a new initiative that provides our Members a chance to be heard and to be known widely to their potential clients.

This initiative, specifically created for our Members in the professional services field, will include a collection of visually engaging and informative videos about how to expand business operations to the U.S.

Each sponsor has the opportunity to showcase its professional services through a 10-minute interview-like video and to educate its audiences about the many implications and export regulations when doing business in the U.S. (e.g. export regulations, U.S. tax law, real estate due diligence and investment, Visa regulations, trade counseling and other).

Through this powerful video channel, each sponsor may become a recognized expert by gaining maximum and immediate visibility and by extensively amplifying its reach among Italian entrepreneurs.

The final video will be then shared through the IACCSE's online channels (website, YouTube) and promoted on a social media campaign to a profiled target of Italian entrepreneurs, making it a powerful asset for each Member's sales and marketing needs. The IACCSE video collection will be also promoted
through Assocamerestero website and social media.

The video is produced by the IACCSE and the sponsorship package is available for our Members only.

Download the  Business Expert Channel media kit   to learn more. If you are interested in signing up for this initiative, please fill out the form at page 10 of the media kit and e-mail it back by June 15.

CULINARY ARTS

.

E-Masterclass counts
high success together
with Chef Cristiano Tomei.

The IACCSE has been the first Italian Chamber to bring online an event of  "The Extraordinary Italian Taste" campaign. This marketing campaign, supported by the Italian Government, aims to promote authentic Italian food culture in the USA and in other 22 countries.

This hands-on, e-Masterclass has been held last April 28 th , thanks to our special host, Michelin-starred Italian  Chef Cristiano Tomei .

The objective was to highlight quality food products carrying the Protected Designation of Origin seal (PDO) versus the so called "Italian sounding" products.

We had 60+ participants who logged in from their own kitchen to attend the cooking experience along with the protagonist celebrity chef Tomei, connected from his kitchen in Lucca, Italy.
It was exciting to see such a nice community of food bloggers, influencers, chefs and food lovers come together to show support to genuine Italian culinary tradition and products in the U.S.A.
During the two-hour cooking class titled "Back to the Roots", Chef Tomei walked the audience through the secrets of the authentic and genuine Tuscan cuisine, rooted back to Italy's farm life and cultural and historical heritage, while presenting traditional vegetarian recipes.  Everyone took a stab at preparing the recipe from their own kitchen.

If you would like to give it a try at preparing the traditional vegetarian recipes from Chef Tomei, you may download the recipes here.

these hard times.

These are difficult times we are living through amid the Covid-19 pandemic. As a response JAS is actively also working to aid hospitals around the world.

In  Italy, JAS is proud to say that  Protezione Civile entrusted JAS with shipments vital to keeping the supply chain functioning and actively participating to support the replenishment of very Important disaster-Relief Material needed into  all Italian Hospitals.

In March the  HARTMANN GROUP began utilizing JAS' charted flight operations to facilitate the supply of masks throughout Europe. ART MARKET TRENDS

The Art of
Cryptocurrency.

by  11 [HellHeaven] Art Gallery

Crypto Currencies have recently gained enormous popularity amongst the general public. With each passing day, more and more companies are radically accepting crypto currencies in their payment systems, paving way for an economic revolution. However, the average consumer's understanding of what are also known as cryptocurrencies is limited.

Many financial analysts can explain  what a cryptocurrency is or how a blockchain works.  But for art dealers, the most relevant question is: what do cryptocurrencies have to do with the art world?
Albeit quietly, art business is rapidly adapting to the new "gold rush".

On June 14, 2018,  Āto Gallery sold a painting for 150 Bitcoin - equivalent to around $1.25 million. On October 11th, Christie's announced that their sale of the Barney A. Ebsworth Collection in November will the first auction to incorporate blockchain technology. This marks a huge shift towards the application of blockchain technology given the influence Christie's has as a major auction house. Austrian Museum of Applied Art/Contemporary Art is the first museum to buy art using Bitcoins.

Tech entrepreneurs envision the Blockchain networks they create will expand the base of art buyers beyond the current stable of purchasers.

Blockchain in the art market also promise that, for instance, within the context of auctioneering, there will never be a concern as to whether a potential bidder has funds to actually obtain a piece she has bought. The transparency a Blockchain network brings to the ledgers of its users ensures a punter must have sufficient funds to transact any business through the network.

Blockchain can actually democratize fine art investment, improving provenance and reducing forgery, and creating a more ethical way to pay artists. The digital currencies are most appropriate for international buyers who prefer to "cut out the middleman". This approach attracts Bitcoin "billionaires" who need to translate the value of their digital hordes into physical assets.
The art world is slow to change, especially to a concept as difficult to grasp as new terminology like cryptocurrencies, tokens, coins, blockchain. But for sure we will hear more and more about it in the next few times as well as new applications for blockchain technology pop out.
[11 HellHeaven] Art Gallery is ready for cryptos! Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin CASH (BCH), Dai (DAI), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), USD Coin (USDC) are currently accepted, according to the buyer's preference.

CYBER-SECURITY

The "virtuous" behaviours:
a first step
towards security .

by  Digitance

COVID-19 emergency has forced governments to impose drastic measures of social distancing. Among the main consequences of this decision was the immediate increase in the use of ICT technologies, in order to fill the inconveniences imposed by this distancing. This massive use has brought public attention to the increasingly pressing actions of hackers who, taking advantage of the situation, have become progressively aggressive.

A "first line of defense" against hacking actions can be represented by some "virtuous" personal behaviours towards tools and technology applications.
First, while using "social media", we should never describe our habits, our lifestyles and, above all, we would never talk about our possible absences from home and from office. This is information that hackers would know how to exploit.
We should learn how to build "strong" passwords, wisely using the full range of available characters, including special ones. We should never use full names and not even places or dates.
We should create our own personal password rotation policy. We would try not to keep the same password for more than a month on the same application and create our own archive of passwords and rotation criteria, which we will keep separately.
We should avoid using free email services, web conferencing, VoIP, etc. ... Free platforms are the preferred target of hackers, who take advantage of the intrinsic weakness of the platforms themselves.
We should equip ourselves with an encryption system for our data, our hard disks, in order to decrease their vulnerability.
These are just a few tips, which can help to define a virtuous behavioural model to start building, together with a specialized company such as Digitance Group, a real Security Management System.

CONTRACTS

Contracting in
a new economy.

by  Ontier

Change is not always easy to accept. It is in our nature to resist change and stay within our comfort zone. The world we live in is in constant motion requiring us to adapt and innovate. Lately, the million-dollar question seems to be when everything will go back to normal, but what we should be concentrating on is preparing for the new normal.

The new normal cannot be attributed solely to COVID-19. The new normal is attributed to a multitude of factors, importantly, today's market which is faster, more global and more complex than ever before. COVID-19 has undoubtedly accelerated certain trends that were underway in all sectors of the market and created new inertias, but it should not get all the blame.
Long before we started feeling the effects of COVID-19, change was already underway, in the housing market with a decrease in buyers and increase in rentals; in the retail sector with the bankruptcy of some of America's most iconic companies (FAO Schwarz, Sears, Forever 21, Toys "R" US); in the food and agricultural sector with decentralized food systems and changing consumer demand; and the list goes on.
Regardless of the sector affected by COVID-19 and the changes accelerated thereby, companies need to find a way to be more agile and adaptable and at Ontier, as lawyers, need to find a way to help them. Ontier is helping clients renegotiate existing contracts and enter into new ones with this in mind.
Ontier will be hosting a webinar with the IACCSE on May 27th titled "Contracting in a New Economy" that will explore contract drafting approaches aimed at achieving flexibility and communication between parties, starting with contracts that fosters trust and cooperation rather than leverage power and distrust among the parties.
