March Madness - NCAA Finals
April 8
The LA Brandeis Men's Group Sports SIG met on Monday, April 8th, to watch the championship game of the NCAA "March Madness" basketball tournament between the “Red Raiders” of Texas Tech University, and the eventual champion - in overtime - University of Virginia “Cavaliers”. The SIG center court for the event was courtesy of Harvey Ganz, the courtside refreshments were catered from Label’s Table Deli, and the SIG referees were John Harris and Lou Bernstein. From tip-off until final basket, it was a dandy night for college basketball and another exciting evening with the LA Brandeis Men’s Group Sports SIG!

Attending were new members Howard Green and Shel Ellis, and old timers Bernie Schiffer, Arnie Geffner, Louis Bernstein, Al Wilner, Myron Forst, Tony Borwick, Ted Slavin, and Sports Group co-chairman John Harris.
Westside Walking Group SIG
The BMG Westside Walking Group continues to pick ‘em up, and put ‘em down every Thursday morning in Santa Monica. Our gentle and leisurely hikes begin at 9:30am in Palisades Park, near Marguerita Avenue, and continue southwards to the Miramar Hotel, at which time the members enter and sit down for coffee and conversation. When we’ve had enough of both, we exit the hotel and head back up the coast to our starting point! There’s never a dull or boring minute during these jaunts, and all Brandeis members are encouraged to show up and experience for themselves the healthy exercise and camaraderie that transpire. Wives, significant others, and/or family members are also cordially invited. For more information, please contact Gerry Sallus, 1-310-559-2536, or gsallus@twc.com
