Walk Your Wheels: No Riding on Downtown Sidewalks
With warm, sunny weather comes increased bike and foot traffic in the downtown. For the safety of pedestrians, the Village of Glen Ellyn asks residents to please "Walk Your Wheels" on the sidewalks in the downtown central business district.

With the increased number of outdoor dining opportunities on sidewalks, patrons making frequent stops in and out of businesses, and summer events, please be mindful of the increased pedestrian traffic. Let's keep downtown sidewalks safe for pedestrians, and "Walk Your Wheels" which includes bikes, skateboards, scooters and rollerblades.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping make Glen Ellyn's downtown a pedestrian-friendly place for both residents and visitors.
Glen Ellyn residents and business owners can meet with their Village leaders during Tea with the Trustees, a new event that is free and open to the public. This informal setting offers the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and hear about what is happening in Glen Ellyn.

The next Tea with the Trustees event is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, to be held from 9-11 a.m. at the Police Station Community Room, 65 S. Park Boulevard.
Main Street Vehicular Closure from Pennsylvania to Crescent: Monday, July 26
Due to a water service upgrade needed near the intersection of Main Street and Crescent Boulevard in the downtown, Main Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to Crescent Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic on Monday, July 26.

The closure will be setup at 6 a.m. to allow the contractor to start working promptly at 7 a.m. The street will be closed for the duration of the day and is anticipated to be back open before evening.

Please note that businesses will remain open and pedestrian traffic is welcome.
