Veterans Day at DCC
DCC honored its veterans during an event on Veterans Day in the Student Center.

The Knight’s Pantry will be available for all students to access. The location of the pantry will be in Temple 114 and is set to open in December.

PTK Street Cleanup
Members of DCC's Upsilon Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and Vickie Taylor's sociology students cleaned the streets around DCC's campus on Saturday, November 9. Participants included Wednesday James, Idalis Pottinger, Anam Maqsood, Destiny Fore, Peyton Wickemeyer, Chrisha Llana, Ann Toon, Caleb Van Ness, Instructor of Developmental Mathematics Mary Motley, Assistant Professor of Sociology Vickie Taylor, and Associate Professor of English Sherry Gott.

Do you want the opportunity to learn about scholarly topics and engage in community and college service projects with a great group of people? Then you need to join the Upsilon Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa!
 
Contact an advisor or officer to find out who we are and what we can do for you! We have bulletin boards and display cases in the Temple and Taylor Buildings. Packets are on  Ms. Vickie Taylor’s  office door at 121E Taylor Building and  Ms. Sherry Gott’s  office door at 111 Temple Building.
 
We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 11:00 a.m., Taylor Building. During meetings we have speakers, videos on our Honors Study topic, and games related to the topic. Come by and check us out! Our next meeting is Thursday, November 21.
