A special note from our team leader

Dear Magnolia Neighbors & Friends:
The team is excited to announce that with the final installation of five more red umbrellas, Phase I of the Reimagine Magnolia Village beautification project is now fully complete. There is nothing more gratifying than to see so many of you enjoying the tables, chairs, umbrellas and benches during this crazy time in our lives. Together, we have created a place to gather responsibly and enjoy our new Village environment.
I want to sincerely thank every one of our
amazing donors
. With the first phase completed because of your generosity, Magnolia Village is more welcoming and pedestrian friendly while providing safe distancing options for shoppers, diners, and visitors alike. Due to your investment, we have begun to make Magnolia Village an inviting, vibrant center for neighborhood business and social activities.
We are just getting started! We are busy preparing for
Phase II and III of the five phased beautification project
. We aim to extend all of the streetscape improvements you are already enjoying. Just imagine how beautiful it will be to continue this look from 33rd to 35th Avenue (Phases II & III), and eventually from Lynn to Smith on 32nd and 33rd Avenue (Phases IV & V). All of our businesses are vitally important to our community and deserve to have the same beautiful landscape of Phase I … our restaurants will love having extra tables and benches close by. And, picture how much safer, more secure, and protective it will be to have our Magnolia tree wells protected with Porous Pave.
You can help keep Reimagine Magnolia Village moving forward. With your investment, you can continue to make Magnolia Village a better and more beautiful place for your friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy. There are many ways to
give
and donations of $2500 or more will be permanently recognized in the Village. A location is currently being scouted and will be announced soon. Great incentive for our current donors to give again (and again!) so you can receive your own Village recognition plaque or sculpture in honor of your generosity in making Magnolia Village a great place to be.
Finally, I would like to recognize and thank the Magnolia Beautification Committee and the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce. This has been an amazing experience for all of us. The
committee members
are dedicated to working together and investing their time and talent to make Magnolia Village one of the city’s most inviting places to live, work, and play. A special thank you to Chuck and Margaret Flaherty and the beautiful, bountiful baskets of flowers that are courtesy of the Magnolia Garden Center. We have heard so many neighbors say that Magnolia Village has never looked better. They share how much they enjoy shopping, dining, and just hanging out in our stunning corner of the world.
Let’s keep this going.

Thank you,

Thank you to Cheryl McQuiston - MBC honors our leader
The members of the Magnolia Beautification Committee have purchased a plaque to be placed on one of the benches that will be refurbished in Phases II & III of the Reimagine Magnolia Village project.
The plaque honors the amazing efforts, impeccable vision and skills, and the endless energy of Cheryl McQuiston.
As chair of the MBC, Cheryl has been a tireless advocate for beautifying Magnolia Village. Her leadership over the last two years has resulted in our Village being more attractive, welcoming, and a great place to safely distance while dining outside - who knew that the beautification project would take on a whole new role and serve a entirely new purpose during this global pandemic?
Thank you to Cheryl for all she does for the community, her leadership acumen, her generosity in donating to the Reimagine Magnolia Village, and her commitment to making our neighborhood a great place to do business, shop, dine, and rest for awhile. Here's to the completion of Phase I! Let's rock and roll on to Phase II and III and finish strong with Phases IV and V!
