Stay Healthy at Home mandate

G overnor Janet Mills yesterday issued a number of new directives to protect public health and safety in the face of COVID-19. The “Stay Healthy at Home” mandate requires Maine residents to stay at home at all times except for essential jobs (including construction projects), or essential personal reasons, such as obtaining food, medicine or health care.

The Executive Order takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on April 2, 2020 and will last until at least April 30, 2020 . The Governor also extended the closure of restaurants and bars statewide for dine-in customers until at least April 30, 2020 to align with yesterday’s Executive Order.
