Motivation When Everything Feels Like an Uphill Battle
We have all had some sort of uphill battle in our lives; our health, financial needs, mental wellness, family matters, you name it, we have all been there.

Similar to every mountain that we have had to climb up, everything reaches a peak and eventually things start to get back to normal. During the current mitigation phase of the COVID-19 virus, people are encouraged to “flatten the curve” by complying with all illness prevention guidelines. If mitigation succeeds, the U.S. moves to the “other side of the curve . In the absence of new cases , group summertime activities may resume sooner than predicted.

What will be your new normal? With the social distancing guidelines in place, we have all had time to think about it. When it’s all over perhaps we will increase our time with family, lend a helping hand to the elderly, continue the practice and awareness of the importance of illness prevention, and maybe even start n ew hobbies or reignite old ones.

No matter what it is, we have all come to realize that the people in our lives matter. Our families, our friends, our co-workers, our community . This is what is important. So rather than seeking the answer to the question, “ when can we go out again, ” t he right question to ask is, “w hat do we have to do right now so we can reopen as soon and as safely as possible? According to  Forbes.com USA today , and other news and health outlets, we cannot set a date yet but we can see the peak and, the mitigation phase being successful, a slow down by the end of April. Without the efforts of our community, our Crescent family, and our customers' focus to do whatever it takes to fight this, we wouldn’t know where we’d be.

Thank you for choosing to Do it Right. Do it Safe. Do it Well. Each and every day. Thank you for choosing to fight this fight with us, for keeping Crescent clean and sanitized above and beyond the requirement. Thank you for saying YES to our mission to support our communities, our customers and our business. We are stronger than ever before! There is a light at the end of this tunnel and we are looking forward to seeing everyone on the other side of this mountain.

Coronavirus: How to Stay Safe with Home Deliveries?
With more than 50% of the U.S. population living under stay-at-home restrictions, companies that deliver food and household goods are inundated with orders. As they scramble to meet the demand, you may wonder if ordering in puts you or the people making your deliveries at risk.
What Are 'Essential' Errands? How Do You Do Them Safely?
Millions of people across the United States are under official orders to stay home or shelter in place to prevent the spread of  COVID-19 . Even if lockdown orders aren’t in effect where you live, it’s important that we all physically distance ourselves from others to prevent more sickness and death. This means leaving home only for essential errands.
What are essential errands?
Making your own sanitizer
When it comes to preventing the spread of infectious diseases like  COVID-19 , nothing beats good old-fashioned handwashing.
But if water and soap aren’t available, your next best option, according to the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)Trusted Source , is to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
Crescent FAQs Answered
Q: If I am allergic to the hand soap, can I just use hand sanitizer to sanitize my hands?

A: Yes, hand sanitizer is a way to sanitize your hands. But, hand washing is the most preferred method. If the soap in the bathrooms/breakrooms need to be changed please contact your supervisor or manager to get the soap changed.

Q: Can we turn on fans in the warehouse or will that spread the virus?

A: Keeping air circulating, turn on the fan and get fresh air to reduce the chances of getting infected by the novel coronavirus. with fans, the spread is very low, since the COVID is fat and it is sticky. What to look out for is having fans blow on light-weighted materials or shaking bags in the air- this could spread a virus of any kind. The reason is that while many unknowns remain about the virus, earlier studies have shown that viruses thrive better in cool, dry climates.

Q: Do we have any more sanitizer?

A: Some Crescent locations may be low on hand sanitizer or supplies. Crescent is working with our suppliers to bring in additional supplies when they become available. If your operation has run out of sanitizer, washing your hands it is a better alternative.

Q: Can I wear a mask, just as a precaution?

A: Crescent is not opposed to our People wearing a mask, however, please speak to your supervisor or manager on the dress code, food, and safety requirements concerning your operation.

Q: Is the virus only attacking certain groups of people?

A: Diseases can make anyone sick regardless of their race or ethnicity. Stigma hurts everyone by creating fear or anger towards other people. Fear and anxiety about COVID-19 can cause people to avoid or reject others even though they are not at risk of spreading the virus.
For most people, the immediate risk of becoming seriously ill from the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low (CDC, 2020). Older adults and people of any age who have serious  underlying medical conditions  may be at higher risk for more serious complications from COVID-19.
What is the impact of COVID-19 infection during pregnancy?
Currently, there is limited information about risk of COVID-19 to pregnant women. During pregnancy, women experience immunologic and physiologic changes that might increase their risk for severe illness with COVID-19. Because of this, pregnant women are considered an at-risk population for adverse outcomes. Prevention efforts are especially important.
What else is CVS doing for Aetna members?

Aetna is offering 90-day maintenance medication prescriptions for insured and Medicare members. It is also working with state governments to make the same option available to Medicaid members where allowable. Self-funded plan sponsors will also be able to offer this option.
Aetna is also waiving early refill limits on 30-day prescription maintenance medications for all members with pharmacy benefits administered through CVS Caremark.
Through Aetna’s Healing Better program, members who are diagnosed and hospitalized with COVID-19 will receive a care package, mailed direct to their home, containing useful information and resources to help recover, as well as personal and household cleaning supplies to help keep others in the home protected from potential exposure.
Through existing care management programs, Aetna will proactively reach out to members most at-risk for COVID-19. Care managers will walk members through what they can do to protect themselves, where to get information on the virus, and where to go to get tested.

How is Aetna’s 90-day waiver for member out-of-pocket fees for all telemedicine services compliant with a High Deductible Health Plan?

Both the state and federal government are strongly encouraging the use of telemedicine to help contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to protect critical healthcare providers. We continue to see new directives issued to encourage or mandate the use of telemedicine as an alternative to traditional face-to-face encounters for COVID-19-related advice and other less acute health needs.

To encourage this critical change in behavior, Aetna implemented a temporary 90-day waiver of member cost sharing for telemedicine services. Although recent IRS liberalizations addressing COVID-19 testing and treatment for high-deductible health plans did not explicitly address the broader use of telemedicine, we believe this action is in the spirit of those liberalizations and fully consistent with other directives of the federal government. This is a modest, time-limited initiative to advance the goals of those directives.8
