Adult Day Center Reopening Guidance Documents
On June 1, 2020, Aged & Disabled and Traumatic Brain Injury Medicaid waiver adult day provider facilities may reopen. To help facilitate the reopening the Division of Aging has made available two guidance documents on Aging’s COVID-19 webpage , “Process to reopen Indiana adult day centers,” and “Adult day center pre-visit screening tool for staff and client evaluation.” Please use these documents as guidelines to ensure a safe opening for clients, staff and visitors.

Identifying Signs of Depression and Anxiety in People Living with Dementia - Webinar - Thursday, May 28th, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
During this session Teepa Snow will help providers recognize and respond more accurately to depression and anxiety to reduce the chances for escalation and ‘non-helpful’ hospitalizations.
 
Objectives in this webinar include
  1. Describe the risk factors that contribute to the development of anxiety and depression in people living with dementia
  2. Discuss some common signs and symptoms of dementia and anxiety, and how these may present differently in those living with dementia
  3. Describe recommended strategies to improve depression and anxiety symptoms in people living with dementia
