ERAF Statement on COVID-19
UPDATED: Friday, April 3, 2020
This update includes protocols instituted in response to the
Florida Governor's "Safer At Home" Executive Order.

The safety of our staff and volunteers is of paramount importance to us. Like you, we are closely monitoring the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic and have instituted protocols at the barn using guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Florida Department of Health. We want to update you on how this crisis is affecting ERAF and how we are dealing with it.
Volunteers & Visitors
Visitors
Effective immediately and until further notice we are not accepting visitors to the property.

Volunteers
New Volunteer orientations scheduled for April 4th and May 2nd have been cancelled.
Orientation for June will be dependent upon status of the pandemic.

Current Volunteers
EFFECTIVE MONDAY, April 6th, we will begin operating under the ERAF Covid 19 Response Team Plan. This plan limits the number of staff and volunteers at the barn to a maximum of TEN PEOPLE. Response Team Members have been sent an email from our Barn Manager indicating shift details and protocols.

Those volunteers who are NOT part of the Response Team are asked to stay home until further notice.

During this period, we are also working to identify and implement alternate areas in which you can support ERAF. We will keep you posted on these volunteer-from-home opportunities.

Please understand that we are incredibly grateful to each and every one of our dedicated volunteers. This decision was made to best protect ALL OF YOU while maintaining our responsibilities to our rescue horses.

If you have ANY questions, please feel free to reach out to us: email your questions to Nancy Dunn , or Melissa J. Muller .

We look forward to welcoming EVERYONE back to the barn as soon as it is safe to do so.

ADOPTIONS
If you are an interested adopter,
please contact our Barn Manager, Nancy Dunn.
You can email Nancy at  barnmanager.eraf@gmail.com
Our adoption application is available HERE
H owever, we will NOT be scheduling in-person appointments
until it is deemed safe to do so by health and government officials.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
EVENTS
All upcoming events have been cancelled/postponed. This includes the Sip & Shop (March 27), Fore the Love of Horses Golf Tournament (April 2), and Derby Day Benefit (May 2.)

The loss of these Spring events is a huge blow to ERAF as it means a significant loss of life saving revenue to our rescue.

We are working with our event sponsors and partners to reschedule; alternate dates will be dependent upon the passing of the pandemic crisis.

If you have registered for an event you have several options.
1)   We can hold your registration until the event is rescheduled after the crisis has passed.
2)   We can refund you your registration.
3)   You may donate your registration refund to ERAF. We would be so grateful if you choose this option.

Please contact our event coordinator at eraf.events@gmail.com and let us know your preference.
DONATIONS
Now more than ever, ERAF needs your support. We don’t know what the days and weeks to come will bring. We DO know that for the more than 50 horses in our care their needs must be met. This includes veterinary care, feed, hay, staffing and so much more. If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us through this difficult time. Donations can be mailed to ERAF PO Box 1199, Palm City, FL 34991 or donate online by clicking any of the links below.
