Reopening Recreation
The Town of Halton Hills is committed to providing high-quality, affordable recreation opportunities to residents and visitors. As the Province of Ontario begins to lift restrictions, our staff are working hard to ensure our facilities are ready to bring back participants in a manner that is safe and enjoyable for all. Recent changes:

  • Gellert Community Centre open for limited aquatics programs. Pre-registration online required.
  • Playgrounds and splash pads open at local parks
  • Hillsview Active Living Centres and Halton Hills Youth Centres open with revised programs and hours of operation
  • NEW: Fitness programs start Aug. 10. Indoor Pickleball Aug. 17. Pre-registration required.
More fun and games at your local park

Our Neighbourhood Activator is teaming up with our Summer Programs staff to bring a dash of fun and a sprinkle of surprise to your next park visit by organizing and facilitating fun activities for anyone who wants to join.

Active Easy allows you to borrow outdoor activity kits from the library

Now you can loan out a full outdoor activity kit just like you would borrow a book! In partnership with the Halton Hills Public Library, families can borrow a kit that includes a soccer ball, basketball, sidewalk chalk, badminton rackets and shuttles, scoop ball, velcro paddles and more! Reserve it on the library's website and pick it up tomorrow!
Cool off in the Hills with ice cream and splash pads

Hot summer days are here, which means it's time to cool off and relax. Make your summer more spontaneous by spending time outside, treating yourself to a sweet confection and exploring a local business you've never been to before. Check out "Cool off in the Hills" routes today on the Visit Halton Hills tourism website.
Have your say on the design of new playground equipment

The Town of Halton Hills is replacing the playground equipment at Berton Boulevard Park this fall. The public is invited to provide input on the features that will be included as part of the replacement playground equipment.Take a moment to complete a survey on our Let's Talk engagement platform.

Act fast! Survey closes August 10. Construction is scheduled for fall 2020.
