Spring is in the air. Literally. My eyes will not stop watering and I can only breathe through my mouth. But after the February freeze, I will gladly take the warmer temperatures and sunshine in my life! Bring on patio season!
Speaking of spring, you may have noticed a change in how we typically do things here at WTS. Normally at this time, I’d be reminding you all to mark your calendars for our Annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet. But after scheduling, re-scheduling, re-re-scheduling, and finally cancelling the event last year, we learned our lesson. Do NOT schedule large indoor events during a global pandemic.
To that end, we’re pulling an old switcheroo on you. We’ve decided to hold our 19th Annual Golf Tournament in the spring, and (hopefully) hold the Annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet in the fall. So, pull your calendars back out and be sure to mark Tuesday, May 18, 2021 for our WTS Golf Tournament at Texas Star Golf Course! I’ve been practicing since last year’s tournament, but fear not, I’m still terrible, so you’ve got a chance! Regardless, it will be a ton of fun and your support helps us continue our mission to provide professional development and scholarship opportunities. We hope to see you there!
