Featured CEUs

State Expectations for Infection Control and Prevention for ALFs

Laura Jensen, Agency for Health Care Administration

In the current environment, assisted living facilities face specific challenges with meeting compliance expectations for the infection control requirements. Session attendees will discuss infection control basics, identifying any gaps in the prevention practices, and steps necessary to continue to protect those living and working in the varying levels of an assisted living facility.

Medicaid Updates

Ann Dalton, Agency for Health Care Administration

Medicaid services provide funding that enable vulnerable seniors and individuals with disabilities to receive long-term care services and supports in the setting most suited to their needs, including assisted living facilities. Hear about the latest changes for home and community-based services that will affect your operations with the most up-to-date rules to ensure compliance for the Medicaid beneficiaries.

ALF CEMP Rule Update and Emergency Preparedness

Serita Evans, Agency for Health Care Administration

For assisted living facilities, elevated requirements and necessary regulation changes continued to evolve throughout the pandemic and beyond. To outline the changes and how it impacts facilities, session attendees will learn about the AHCA Rulemaking revisions proposed in 2021 for Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) criteria, Environmental Control plans, and reporting into the Emergency Status System (ESS). The agency will present the changes with guidance so the provider will fully understand the new regulations for implementation.

Limited opportunities will be available at each training on a first-come, first-serve basis. Stay tuned for more information.
