When we think of Christmas our minds fill with hundreds of visions of what can be.  It’s fond memories of our favorite Christmases of the past: a special time with a loved one, the best gift we ever got, a delicious meal, or even being in a Christmas play.  We can’t wait to watch our go-to holiday movies.  We dream of making new special memories with our children or family.   We long for the look on family faces when we gather again.  Maybe we have found something on Pinterest that will put the icing on this year’s celebration. We look forward to huddling in Church on Christmas with friends new and old to celebrate the reason for the season.  Ah, the Christmas we dream of!

This year things are looking a lot different.  Many of the dreams we have, and the traditions we cherish don’t seem possible.  This Christmas travel may not be possible, gifts may be simpler, and fewer friends and family may be gathered around our tree.  But the one gift and the one guest we need has still come: Jesus!

Christmas Blessings,
