Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be starting up next month, and we are looking for a few students that are willing and ready to help serve in a variety of ways. If interested, please pick up a packet from the front office or see Mr. Pond in E8. Applications are due by Wed., Oct. 30.
  • It's time for the FPS Annual Food Dive to fill the district food pantry called The Outback (located behind ALLPS campus). Student Council will be collecting items from Oct. 28-Nov. 13.  Please have your student bring non-perishable  food items to their advisory class to support the students in our district. Each year Woodland is consistently one of the leading schools to contribute!
  • STEM & German After-School Club will meet every Tuesday in November and December from 3:45-4:45 in B-9. Parents can pick up in the bus loading zone.
German Week, Oct. 28-Nov. 1

This week is German Week at Woodland! Every day students can look for paper gummy bears in the hallways. If they find one, they can take it to the office and exchange it for real gummy bears.

Each day will have a theme, too! Students can stop by B-9 to show Ms. Blevins their outfit each day. There will be one student and one teacher selected daily as best dressed and they will win a prize.
  • Tuesday: dress like a German flag (wear black, red, and yellow)
  • Wednesday: dress like a gummy bear (wear a gummy bear color, all one color)
  • Thursday: flag face painting day (come by B-9 during advisory and get the flag of a German-speaking country painted on your face/hand by the 8th grade German students)
  • Friday: hat day (come by B-9 and get a paper hat)
We will be having a special Veteran's Day Assembly at Woodland this year and need your help. We would like to invite any Woodland family members or extended family that served in the military. We will be honoring our veterans Mon., Nov. 11 from 9:18-9:43 a.m. We would like to also send a personal invitation to any family members that are in the military. Please help us in honoring our men and women who have sacrificed for the freedom we enjoy.
