Order Your 2021-2022 Yearbook

Ollie is a wise owl. He knows that GLOBE has come full circle. Our very first kindergarten students will be eighth graders this year and he can't wait to see how they and GLOBE are celebrated in the 2021-2022 yearbook. He knows that you and your child will want one, too!

Why buy now?
Two great reasons:
  • You are guaranteed to get a book.
  • $30 is the lowest price of the year. The price goes up in September.

How do I order?

Carpool Connector

Planning ahead for 2021-2022? The 2021-2022 Carpool Connector is now active. Complete this form if you would like to advertise for a carpool buddy in the fall. You can also view results here to see if someone matches your needs. Remember that this list will continue to grow over the summer.

On our website, you can find private transportation companies and after school programs with transportation to/from GLOBE. GLOBE does not provide this information as an endorsement of these programs. They are only listed as vendors who have been used by members of our community in the past. Please reach out to the vendor directly for more information.

ADMISSIONS
If you know your child(ren) will not be returning this year, please contact Meg Brown, Admissions Director, at megan.brown@theglobeacademy.net or click here to complete this form. We know that plans sometimes change. Having an accurate count for the school year allows us to plan and budget appropriately or allows a student from our waiting list to fill the open spot.

SPORTS
2021-2022 Sports Physical Form

Attention Parents of Rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders,

The GLOBE Athletics Department is excited to announce that sports will resume when we return for the 2021-2022 school year. We will begin with our Fall Sports - Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball. In order for any student to participate in any sport over the course of the school year, they must have an updated Physical Examination form on file prior to tryouts on 8/16/2021.
Please follow the link below to access the required forms.

(*Physical Forms are valid for a full calendar year after the date signed. For example, if you have the physical done in July 2021 it will last through July 2022, and therefore will be valid for any Fall, Winter, and Spring Sports.)

PTCC Reminder: Elections are coming up!

Want to get more involved in your child’s school?
It’s time to fill leadership roles for next year.

The GLOBE Parent Teacher Community Council (PTCC) is GLOBE’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTCC is made up of GLOBE parents. We will elect new leaders for the 2021-2022 school year in August. Step up and nominate yourself to lead as a PAC leader or an officer.

Officer Election Process:
  • Voting for officer positions will be online.
  • Ballots will be sent out electronically by the Head of School to provide each person an opportunity to vote.
  • The elections will be voted on by the entire GLOBE community (parents, teachers, staff).

Those elected to officer positions will serve alongside Laura Thomas, who will serve the second year of her Co-Chair position, and Kristeena Spivey, who will serve the second year of the Secretary position.

If you are interested in running for a Co-Chair or Treasurer position for the PTCC, please email your name, position of interest and a summary (not to exceed 500 words) on why you would like to hold an officer position to Head of School Ms. Christi Elliott-Earby @ celliott-earby@theglobeacademy.net and Co-Chair Laura Thomas @ ptccofficers.globeacademy@gmail.com. Please detail your past experience at GLOBE or other school leadership positions. Candidates will be evaluated based on why they are interested and prior parent involvement/volunteer experience (community, other schools, at GLOBE).  Deadline for nominations (including self nominations) is July 1, 2021. School-wide elections for the two Officer positions will be held via email on August 2-12, 2021.

Fundraising

Learn about the Annual Fund Popsicle Challenge by clicking here.

The Development Committee is seeking volunteers to help secure GLOBE Trot (October 22nd) and Annual Fund sponsorships this summer using our brand new sponsorship packet.

As a public charter school, we receive less funding than traditional public schools, so sponsorships are an important way to raise the funds needed to operate our school. Contact Meghann Adams at madams@theglobeacademy.net if interested in helping or if you have ideas for sponsorship prospects.

The School Nutrition program has partnered with Simply Elegant to provide lunch for the remainder of the school year. All students are eligible to receive a free school lunch this school year. To ensure the safety of the students, the vendor will follow CDC guidelines by delivering no-contact grab-and-go meals during their assigned lunch period. All meals will be prepackaged prior to arriving at school. If a student forgets their lunch at home, they will receive a school lunch for the day. To guarantee the safety of students with allergies, please review our daily menu on the website. This will be updated by Monday, August 2nd.
