Established in 1874 Celebrating 145 Years
In 1874, Charles Jeremiah Smith establishes Charles J. Smith-Machinist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, beginning as a machine shop making metal parts for baby carriages and other hardware specialties. In 1904 Arthur Oliver Smith took over the company. From then they lay claim to many achievements. Some of these include being the world's largest bicycle parts manufacturer, North America's largest automobile frame manufacturer and helping in the war effort by producing airplane parts and thousands of bomb casings. Take a deeper look and you will find that A.O. Smith is much more then just the worlds largest water heater manufacturer!



Bradley Corporation
Est. 1921
For 99 years, Bradley Corporation has designed and manufactured commercial washfountains, and today is the industry's comprehensive source for plumbing fixtures, washroom accessories, partitions, emergency fixtures and solid plastic lockers. Headquartered in Wisconsin, Bradley serves the commercial, industrial, health care, recreation, education, and corrections markets worldwide.



Charlotte Pipe and Foundry
Established 1901
In 1901 W. Frank Dowd recognized the need for plumbing pipe in the newly industrialized, post-war South. To answer this need he built a small foundry in Charlotte, North Carolina to produce cast iron soil pipe and fittings. The original Charlotte Pipe and Foundry employed 25 men. Today CPF employs over 1500 people and is the largest manufacturer of DWV pipe and fittings in the United States.



 Watts Water Tech
Established 1874
As a 17-year-old machinist in 1857, Joseph E. Watts emigrated to Lawrence, Massachusetts from Cheshire, England seeking his fortune. 17 Years later, he would open an independent machine shop supplying machinery parts and fittings to the local textile mills, Watts Regulator Company. In addition to running his own business, Joseph Watts achieved widespread fame as the patentee and maker of steam and water pressure regulators.

Woodford Manufacturing Company Established in 1929

Woodford Manufacturing Company began in 1929 when J.C. Woodford bought Service Station Equipment Company and the manufacturing rights for the IOWA® Yard Hydrant. The company introduced their first residential faucet in 1938. In 1955, the company's product line expanded into commercial wall hydrants. Today, Woodford is the leading manufacturer in  wall faucets , wall hydrants , yard hydrants , vacuum breakers and backflow preventers .
