To our Scouting family...

As always, your safety and the safety of all our members, volunteers, and employees is our top priority. We know there are questions and concerns about how COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus, could affect local Scouting programs in the Northern New Jersey Council. Please know that we are monitoring developments regarding COVID-19 both locally with our Council Health Supervisor and through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) .

This newsletter is a resource for you to help navigate this time of uncertainty. We at NNJC are confident that we can all work together to ensure we are doing our best for the community. It is our goal to continue providing excellent programs for our youth, and to keep the spirit of Scouting burning as strongly as ever.

Below to see a list of Frequently Asked Questions regarding upcoming NNJC programs/events.

1. Who do we contact to find out if our unit meeting or event is cancelled?

To find out if your unit meeting or event is cancelled you should reach out to your unit Cubmaster or Scoutmaster.

2. Are the camps still open for Rentals?

Currently our camps are still open for rentals.

3. Who do we contact if we need to cancel or move our rental?

If you need to cancel your rental or move it to another weekend, please email Ann Murphy .

4. How do we find out if a district or council event is cancelled or postponed?

All event information can be found on website calendar. If an event is cancelled or postponed, we have reflected that on the calendar. For more information you can follow up with event contact.

5. Will this affect decisions for Camperships that are due March 15th?

At this time, all camperships are still due by March 15th. Awardees will be notified by March 31st.
