However, for some, prolonged social isolation amplifies feelings of disconnection and can result in negative psychological effects and disorders.

Technology has been touted as a convenient, adaptable alternative to in-person socialization. After all, shouldn't eating takeout with friends over a Zoom call be just as socially fulfilling as a dinner party?

Against The Odds, Teen With Cerebral Palsy Overcomes COVID-19

Double pneumonia. A compromised immune system. Diminished lung capacity.   And the coronavirus.  Jimmy Komninos didn't want to think about what all that could mean for his 14-year-old daughter, Zoey. But he began to prepare himself for what seemed inevitable - planning a funeral. 

 Zoey, who has cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder, had been at Hackensack University Medical Center for days, having contracted COVID-19 after one of her home nurses was exposed to the disease.

We attend a great playgroup once a week and this was one of our recent creative projects - a cardboard flower with holes punched for threading a long length of wool through. I thought it was a great idea and immediately thought to make a more permanent version for Immy's sewing basket.
