While the FAU campus remains open, the University is urging staff and faculty to temporarily remote work by
Wednesday, March 18.
FAU Tech Runway will begin to minimize the number of staff members present on site. During the work week, one staff member will be available on site, unless instructed otherwise. If you have questions regarding the building operations and/or other related inquiries during this time, please email

Filing Deadline Extended Until July 15
Tax Day has been moved from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.

March 27 at 11:59 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 situation many of you may be experiencing changes in your professional and personal daily lives. The health and well-being of yourself, and of those around you are of the utmost importance. Therefore, we want to give you additional time to apply to the Launch Competition.

Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program
The Florida SBDC at FAU is now supporting access to the two most significant public-funded small business disaster loans:
- Federal: SBA Economic Injury Business Disaster Loan โ SBDC provide assistance to access to this long-term loan (up to 2 Million and terms up to 30 years)
- State: Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan โ SBDC directly receive and process applications until closing the loan. This is a short term loan, up to $100K for one year.

Frank and Ellen Daveler Entrepreneurship Program
The Frank and Ellen Daveler Entrepreneurship Program offers undergraduate students from across Florida a unique opportunity to increase their knowledge of business operations and gain insight into the entrepreneurial process in venture creation, venture growth, and venture harvesting.
20 Florida undergraduate students will be selected as fellows. They will be invited to pitch their innovations on and receive a $3,000 award.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Open to undergraduate students only (60 credit hours and above preferred)
- Open only to college and university students in Florida.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75
- Applicants are required to submit an application and attach the required documents, additional information might be requested
This is an individual competition and therefore the pitch will be performed by the individual who applied and was selected to participate. Teams are welcome to come and support their colleagues
Deadline to submit applications is March 22.

FAU Graduate College will host the University's 4
th Annual Three Minute Thesis (3MTยฎ) Competition
April 13-17, 2020.
This exciting competition challenges FAU graduate students to present their research in only 3 minutes. Students compete in a heat specific to their discipline; the First Place, Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, and People's Choice winners from each heat advance to the Championship.
Apply to compete by March 30.
Scholarship prizes are awarded to both Heat and Championship winners.
