No In-Person Worship or Sunday School on Sunday, August 1 - Virtual Worship Only at 9:00 and 11:00

Our plans to return to the pre-pandemic worship schedule have been delayed by an increase in COVID cases in our area. I regret to tell you but I am included in those numbers having tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday morning. Even though I had the vaccine, the doctor shared with me that break-through cases are becoming more prevalent in our community. That being said, for the first three days of this week I exposed the staff and others in the church to the virus.

I spoke with our District Superintendent, David Thompson, and consulted with our lay leadership and staff about worship this week. We agreed that the best option for Sunday, August 1, will be to have no in-person worship and provide virtual worship at 9:00 and 11:00. The 9:00 service will be a replay of a contemporary service and the 11:00 service will be a replay of traditional worship service. There will also be no Sunday School.

You will not receive the usual eBlast and newsletter this week since there could be more changes to come as a result of the uptick in the pandemic. More information will soon follow regarding the direction we plan to take and any revisions we will make to the schedules for worship, programs, and meetings.

Thank you for your understanding and your faithful support of our church as we continue to face uncertain days. Please keep the pastors, staff, and lay leadership in your prayers as we determine the best direction for our church to take.

Blessings,
Tom
