Sea Witch is baaaaaaaaaaack! Oct 29-31. Don't miss the costumed dog parade - it's the best!

The Nanticoke Indian Powwow takes place Sep 10-12 this year, and is moving to Hudson Fields. The event will feature Native American singing, dancing, jewelry, crafts and more.

Dogfish launched their first-ever single malt whiskey called Let’s Get Lost. You can find it at the Off-Centered EmPOURium in Rehoboth, and the Tasting Room & Kitchen in Milton.

The Rehoboth Foodie reports that Hammerheads in Dewey will become the Starboard Claw, sometime next year. And the new Taco Reho (former Burger King location) will be AMAZING! The new brick and mortar location will include a bar, a double-lane drive-through and online ordering for quick pick up.

Buzz readers are raving about Silly Rabbit Carrot Hot Dogs, a carrot hot dog stand that sprouts up in and around town. Can't wait to try one!

Owners of Eden Restaurant and JAM Bistro (both on Baltimore Avenue) will open a third Rehoboth eatery on Coastal Highway called Red, White & Basil, a from scratch pasta bar.

Cashmere Gardens, a new women’s clothing store, will open in the space adjacent to the uber fabulous Mod Cottage, in downtown Rehoboth. The shop will feature brands that use sustainable materials, with plans to open mid-September.

The Lewes Historical Society will open an antique shop at 302 Savannah Road. The building was originally built in 1898 for the Sussex Trust Title and Safe Deposit Company. Proceeds will go towards the Society and donations are welcome!

The 23rd Annual Chautauqua Tent Show in Lewes, will be both live and virtual. Admission is free and open to the public. Each day of activities will be capped off with evening performances by actor-historians from the American Historical Theatre portraying George Washington Carver, Thomas Edison, Madame C.J. Walker and Alexander Graham Bell.

The building going up behind Tanger Seaside is a Microtel hotel and fitness center. The Millsboro Art League is open for business and offering a number of classes this fall.

Piping Out the Summer” originated in the 1950s with bandleader Sammy Ferro, whose orchestra played for dances at the old Henlopen Hotel. After the last dance on Labor Day, Ferro would take his band to the boards, followed by his audience; then lead a spontaneous musical parade down the Boardwalk. The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum is reviving that tradition, calling for revelers with musical instruments of any kind to gather on the Boardwalk at 5:30 p.m., Sep 6, in front of the Henlopen Hotel. The ensemble will then proceed to “pipe out” down the Boardwalk to the Bandstand. The historical society is providing kazoos for people without their own instruments.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 in Millsboro will be holding a 911 Remembrance Ceremony on September 11th at Post beginning at 6:30 PM. Open to the public.

The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society’s Annual Needlework Exhibition opens Sep 18. More than 80 regional needle artists participate, and awards are given in 10 categories.

The Beach Goes Red, White & Blue, celebrating Police Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, the Military, Medical Frontline and all those who serve, will take place in downtown Rehoboth on Sep 4.

Mid-Atlantic Symphony Music Director Julien Benichou will preview the orchestra’s 2021-22 season on Sep 18, at the Lewes Public Library. Several of the orchestra’s musicians will perform, and Benichou will discuss the season and answer questions. The program is free, but pre-registration is required.

Possum Point Players will present "The Marvelous Wonderettes," beginning Sep 10, on their outdoor stage in Georgetown. The show will feature classic ‘50s and ‘60s hits.

Rumor has it that Mission Barbeque is coming to the Pizza Hut by Rehoboth's Walmart. No confirmation on that just yet.

Calling all fellow HGTV fans – the Village Volunteers are hosting a very cool benefit called “Autumn at the Beach Kitchen Tour” on Oct 10. You’ll get a virtual tour of 8-10 kitchens featuring “dream” installations in new homes, modern renovations in historic homes, and examples of creative down-sizing. Also includes video interviews with owners discussing their kitchen’s unique and favorite features. Way cool.

Driving around Five Points in Lewes recently and found Sanctuary, an interior design store, and the Gold Ballroom Dance Studio. The Studio offers classes for adults and children, private lessons, and wedding choreography too!

Addicted to Hopkins Farm ice cream? It’s now available in downtown Rehoboth at The Mill Creamery, directly across from The Coffee Mill. The shop offers 30 flavors from Hopkins Farm Creamery. Oh my!

The University of Delaware’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will offer 60 in-person classes this fall, and nearly 200 ONLINE COURSES as well! Registration is now open.

September 20 is Delaware Womenade Games Day, Ocean View, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Games, continental breakfast, Prosecco, seafood appetizers, lunch, silent auction and basket raffles. Proceeds benefit the domestic violence programs of Peoples Place. For info email here.
