DECEMBER 2018 NEWSLETTER
A Letter from the Chair
Shari Carlozzi, Director of Safety Services at WTI & NWIR Chair

As the end of the year closes in, I'm taking some time to reflect on all that has happened in 2018: the great accomplishments, the challenges along the way and the goals I have yet to achieve.  It's all good, you know, but nothing worthwhile comes without its challenges along the way.

2018 has been a year of many changes for me. Taking the reigns as Chair of NWIR and starting a new job with WTI at Tremco are two of the greatest changes for me and I would do it again in a heartbeat! But sometimes it's those little personal challenges that help you realize just how everything works together to make us the best we can be. I am grateful for those as well... but let's talk about YOU!

NWIR Denver Colorado Council
The Denver Colorado Chapter of NWIR has been active with establishing our four pillars of Mentorship, Education, Networking and Recruiting. We have been brainstorming meeting ideas for the year, have had a monthly meeting and an additional networking events for extra success building throughout the summer and fall! Members from other states have also been mingling with our groups, and it only enforces the great system we have as NWIR. Our membership is covering product, installation, marketing, legal advice, many groups all interrelated to build our commitment to greatness. This year's board is being built as the membership increases. The consensus is that we are all unique individuals, but can bring so much to the table, and connect so well on a social/business level.

The November meeting was a guest speaker regarding the Foundations of Accountability. We had 17 attendees. This speaker, Mr. Ty Adams, of Adams Business Results, started his own company regarding reparative construction. Mr. Adams will offer some classes regarding Ownership and Upper Management; Production and Sales, and Supplementing in this state for next year.

We plan to have a December holiday get together on the 7th. Membership is only rising, with new members or members-to-be at each meeting or social event. Contact Christie Gorman-McCarthy at gorbunkle@comcast.net for more information.
