An important message from Dayton Right to Life

As we have heard from our Governor, the state of Ohio is now at a crucial point in the COVID-19 crisis. ALL Ohioans are being asked to come together for the protection of all our citizens.

On March 17, 2020, the Ohio Director of Health, Dr. Amy Acton issued an order regarding "the Management of Non-essential Surgeries and Procedures throughout Ohio." In part, that directive states:

"Effective 5:00 pm Wednesday, March 18, 2020, all non-essential or elective surgeries and procedures that utilized personal protective equipment (PPE) should not be conducted."

See complete statement here.

Unfortunately, Women's Med Center in Dayton has decided to ignore this order and potentially jeopardize the health and safety of Miami Valley residents.

As of March 20, 2020 this elective surgery facility has not closed its doors.

While other health professionals are sacrificing to keep us safe, this facility remains open using critical medical supplies and resources that our community may need in the weeks ahead. Additionally this facility relies on local hospitals for emergency support at a time when those facilities could be overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients.

Why is Women's Med Center ignoring the ODH orders?

Why are these so-called "health professionals" acting so recklessly?

As of Friday, March 20, 2020, Women's Med Center continues to operate with a doctor, an anesthesiologist, several nurses, and a staff of about 8-10.

To worsen the situation, many of their patients arrive from all over Ohio, and as far away as Indiana and Kentucky.

How is this responsible healthcare during this time of crisis??

DAYTON RIGHT TO LIFE IS ASKING ALL CONSTITUENTS TO HELP US
STOP THE SPREAD!!

Please contact this facility and ask them to close their doors--encourage them to consider the health of ALL Ohioans.
