Dear Friends,
I hope this note finds you well. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Some thoughts to start your day. May you find peace and strength - have a good week - Shavua Tov - Rabbi Pincus

1.   A call for positive action - In last week's Talmud study class we learned (Shabbat 52) that
"A vessel descends into its state of ritual impurity by means of thought.
However, it only ascends from its state of ritual impurity by means of a change in action."
It struck a cord for me - it is really hard to change your mood by just trying to think your way out of it - sometimes we need to find a way to do something.....

2. Spend time outside - If you are able try to spend a little time outdoors. Over the past weekend I was reminded of the powerful words of Anne Frank:
"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles."

3. Try Something Different - Looking for Ideas? The URJ came up with a great list of 25 Ways to Live Jewishly Under Quarantine  From 14 of their favorite challah recipes with helpful hacks for baking, braiding, and more. (I am determined to figure it out one day) to Jewishly themed podcasts, tv shows and books.

4. Two things that made me smile -read the title from top left onwards -  For the people of the book - and if you haven't seen the video - The Great Realization

5. Try to find a blessing in everything - It is good to look for blessings in everything you see and do. Here is a blessing before putting on a face mask:
