Congratulations to our Summer Readers. We wrapped up our summer with an awesome program on August 6 with an event featuring the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. Funding provided by the Leo J. & Rose Pageau Trust.

DVD SWAP


We are resuming our DVD Swap with other libraries. New DVDs were made available on August 25. Every other month we will get a new set of DVDs. You may borrow up to 3 per household and all DVDs circulate for 2 days. Stop by to check out the selection.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Help your child prepare for school by reading to them everyday. Join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the library.

It's easy:

  • stop by the library to pick up your packet.
  • keep a journal of all the books you share with your child
  • bring in your reading log for a prize to mark each milestone.

The Library has 2 Microsoft Surface Go touchscreen tablets for use within the library. Ask at the circulation desk for this portable device.

Eversource has provided a handy kit that you can borrow and take home to check the efficiency of your appliances. Stop by to get the information you need to save money and energy. 

Free E-Reader App

Go to the app store on your device and search for SimplyE. Follow the directions to download the app and then find Scotland Public Library on the list of libraries. You will need your library barcode and your account password and you are ready to enjoy a variety of e-books and audiobooks.
