Message from the Principal
Dear DHS Staff, Students, and Families,

Homecoming week is just a week away! What a great time to celebrate being a DHS Warrior! We have plenty of fun activities planned, including the Homecoming dance. If you haven't done so already, please be sure to read your email regarding Homecoming 2021. The dance will be held on Saturday, October 16th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Loft 21-Lincolnshire. Students must purchase their tickets at the IC School Store by October 12th. Any questions? Please contact Mr. Brian Verisario, Student Activities Director.

While there is no doubt that our school community will show Warrior pride during Homecoming week, I also know that we accomplish this on a weekly basis! If you haven't already done so, please come out to support our Warriors by attending the fall play, Noises Off, or a number of athletic events this coming week. See you there!

Sincerely,
Principal Kathryn Anderson

School Counselor Appointments with Studentes
If a student wants to meet with their school counselor, they can go to their counselor’s class on Schoology and select a date/time on the online calendar (Calendly). Students may also stop by the counseling center (I102) to see if their counselor is available or to receive assistance in making a future appointment.

Noises Off - Fall Play
Next week the DHS Theatre presents their first fully live production in 18 months!

Michael Frayn's Noises Off takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss, and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. This play-within-a-play captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of Nothing On in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance towards the end of a debilitating run. Brimming with slapstick comedy, Noises Off is a delightful backstage farce, complete with slamming doors, falling trousers, and flying sardines!

Performances are Wednesday, October 6th through Saturday, October 9th at 7:30pm in the DHS Auditorium. See poster (left) for ticket info.
