Space becomes sonified in this visualization of a cluster of galaxies imaged by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope.

Time flows left to right, and the frequency of sound changes from bottom to top, ranging from 30 to 1,000 hertz.

Objects near the bottom of the image produce lower notes, while those near the top produce higher ones.

Most of the visible specks are galaxies housing countless stars. A few individual stars shine brightly in the foreground.

Stars and compact galaxies create short, clear tones, while sprawling spiral galaxies emit longer notes that change pitch.

The higher density of galaxies near the center of the image - the heart of this galaxy cluster, known as RXC J0142.9+4438 - results in a swell of mid-range tones halfway through the video.

Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys and Wide Field Camera 3 acquired this image on August 13, 2018.

My Fretboard Credo:

1. To make Guitar and Bass a music equal to all other instruments.

2. To redeem Guitar and Bass from its many false methods.

3. To create a learning system to rescue Guitar and Bass from its confusion.

4. To influence all to teach Guitar and Bass with the same dignity and respect given to orchestral and band instruments.

I feel that I have achieved this Credo... let me know what you think ~

Kari Nieminen launched the Finnish guitar company Versoul in 1995 with just two acoustic models. He now offers more than 50 acoustic, electric, resonator and bass guitars, as well as amplifiers and a fuzz pedal. Multiple examples of his instruments are owned by a who's who of rock royalty, including Billy Gibbons, Pete Townsend and various members of the Rolling Stones, and have found their way into the hands of players like Michael Landau, Tim Pierce and the late Allan Holdsworth.
IN THE BASSMENT

Wintergatan focuses on engineering and innovation to create their music. One of their main creations is the Marble Machine X, which rhythmically drops marbles onto instruments to create music. The machine previously had a violin-style bass guitar, but they've just upgraded it to what they call the Cyber Bass. This Custom Bass guitar is a 4 string bass built on a 5 string neck, 4 Mics (one per string) and the FUNKALIZER.

This is playing of a maturity beyond her years. Perfect pacing and temp, wonderful variation in tones for this piece by Bach. It reminds one of the playing by Glenn Gould the Canadian exponent of Bach for piano. Very refined playing. It should also be mentioned that the instrument is exceptional, actually, seemingly just right for this music.

Within 24 hours of the World Health Organization's March 11 announcement that the COVID-19 outbreak was a pandemic, concert bookings start to disappear. The day after, everything was canceled through May, then, more recently, everything was canceled through June and July. That's where it stands now, but they're going to cancel beyond that, too. We're probably down for around 18 months. Live music was the first thing to get locked out, and we'll be the last thing let back in. Music-streaming services paying a relative pittance. The prognosis is dire, according to Americans for the Arts, 95 percent of artists in the United States have lost money as a result of the pandemic. Now, Music Workers Alliance is fighting for the rights of musicians and DJs.
GREAT GEAR

Fender's late-1950s 4x10 tweed Bassman combo is among the most celebrated guitar amps. Jim Marshall liked it so much that he pilfered Fender's schematic to create the JTM45 and the early-to-mid- 1960s Plexi. For many players though, Fender's glorious 2x12 Twin Amp of the mid to late '50s is the epitome of rock and roll amplifiers for that era and beyond. A closer look reveals that it even has stunning parallels with the Marshall combo that helped to change the course of rock a decade later.
ARTIST AWARENESS

Watching her perform her solo acoustic act is like seeing a firecracker execute a high-wire circus routine while doing flips and juggling flaming bowling pins. Her use of dexterous fingerpicking and two-hand tapping to relay deep emotions through tuneful compositions. Lenée often performs her trademark pedal dance, incorporating live looping while wearing a tambourine on her left foot and stomping on a Kopf Percussion ToeKicker with her right. She also sings like an angel while using a TC-Helicon Harmony Singer to create  lush vocal layers.
