Reopen 1
Dear Parents and Students,

The plan for Reopening Dade County Schools was presented at a called board meeting on July 8, 2020. Information related to the plan can be found on the website at www.dadecs.org

Dade County Schools will resume normal operations on August 7 th while adhering to the recommendations made by the Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Department of Public Health in their jointly-released Georgia’s Path to Recovery for K-12 Schools where practical.

Students will have two options: 1) Traditional School or 2) Virtual Learning . Click Here to register for Virtual School. The American Academy of Pediatrics strongly advocates that "all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school.”

Dade County is implementing health and safety protocols as recommended by the CDC.

We will continue to work closely with the Governor’s Office, Georgia Department of Education, CDC, Dade County Health Department, Georgia Department of Public Health, NW GA RESA, GHSA, US Department of Ed as we approach the start of school.

Our biggest challenge during COVID-19 will be bus transportation. It will not be feasible to expect six foot social distancing in this environment. Therefore, students will be expected to wear a mask on the bus. We will do everything we can to provide a healthy environment for our students.

In closing, we are doing the very best we can for our deserving students.  May God bless each of you and keep you healthy and safe.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need us.

With warmest regards,
