Coronavirus Update - Littleton Polar Plunge
We wanted to share an update about the coronavirus (COVID-19) as it relates to Special Olympics programming here in Massachusetts, specifically the 2020 Littleton Polar Plunge.

As we are sure you can imagine, we have been monitoring the coronavirus situation across the state and in accordance with Governor Baker's emergency order prohibiting gatherings of 25 people or more, we have to postpone the 2020 LETR Littleton Polar Plunge scheduled for April 4th.

We do not take this change in plans lightly and want all of our teams, participants, spectators, and volunteers who have been looking forward to the Polar Plunge to understand how much we appreciate their interest in the event and dedication to Special Olympics. However, it is incumbent upon Special Olympics Massachusetts in conjunction with our law enforcement partners to ensure the health and safety of all in our community.

We are working with our local partners to try and reschedule the Polar Plunge for later in the year, and hope that you will still be able to join us. We will reach back out when we finalize a new date for the event.

In the coming weeks, we will work with leadership across the Special Olympics movement and continue to monitor and evaluate developments that may impact our athletes, volunteers, fundraisers and partners as well as their communities.
