BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections reinstated Darrel Vannoy as warden today of Louisiana State Penitentiary after a Department and State Police joint investigation cleared him of any criminal wrongdoing. The Department determined it was appropriate to return Warden Vannoy to his position throughout the remainder of the investigation.

The internal investigation is still ongoing. No additional details are available at this time.
