Effective Friday, May 1, updated guidance from the Delaware General Health District now permits us to open our outdoor tennis courts, but with significant restrictions. Highlighted restrictions include:

  • Only members of the same household may play tennis together at this time.
  • The Bubble will remain closed at this time.
  • Advanced court reservations must be made by emailing tennisshop@wedgewoodgolfcc.com.
  • No guest play at this time.

The USTA, the governing body of tennis, has published a comprehensive list of tips and recommendations for playing tennis at this time. Please refer to the article here .

Unfortunately, due to the continued temporary closure of the Bubble, pickleball will not be available at this time. We are planning on installing two clay pickleball courts by the end of next week, weather permitting. These two courts will be overlaid on one clay tennis court, much like on our hard courts.

Additionally, we are putting the final touches on a new online court reservation system that we hope to roll out by the end of next week. This reservation system will be hosted on our mobile app. Please stay tuned for updates.

We are hopeful that updates can be made to the list of restrictions in the near future. Once we receive updated guidance, we will react and communicate quickly with our members that enjoy tennis and pickleball.
