Please read this email carefully, as it contains important program cancellations and Shabbat service information.

WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION

We have set up a special web page, which will be updated as information changes. Please bookmark and check templealiyah.org/updates often.

We have also set up a direct link to our livestream - aliyahlive.org .

SHABBAT SERVICES & MINYAN
  • All SHABBAT SERVICES will be held at their normal times, and are available ONLY via Livestream at aliyahlive.org. We ask that you not attend services in person. 

  • MINYAN at Temple Aliyah is canceled indefinitely beginning March 13th. Those with robust health may attend minyan at Shomrei Torah Synagogue (7353 Valley Circle Blvd) on Sundays at 9am and weekdays at 8am and 7:30pm. You may also view Shomrei Torah’s livestream of minyan services at stslive.org. This information may change at any time - please visit templealiyah.org/updates regularly


UPCOMING PROGRAMS
  • Caregiver Support Group meetings are CANCELED. 
  • Lunch & Learn and Weekly Talmud Class will be held ONLINE ONLY. Login information will be available next week.
  • Hebrew 201 classes are POSTPONED until in-person classes can resume. Participants will be contacted with details at that time.
  • The Yellow Candle Assembly on 3/18 is POSTPONED.
  • Women of Aliyah's "Now We're Cooking" event has been CANCELED.
  • Rabbi Vogel’s Rabbinic Assembly installation has been POSTPONED.
  • The Shabbat Retreat at AJU-BBI on April 3rd is still on, however, a final decision will be made by March 25th.



RESOURCES
  • Our synagogue office will remain open during normal business hours, and our Rabbis are available for virtual meetings. If you would like to schedule a meeting, please call the office at (818)346-3545.
  • Hazzan Stein has recorded the music of the preschool Shabbat service, and we invite you to click here to download and share it. Additionally, beginning Tuesday, our preschool teachers will be providing virtual programming during morning hours. Visit tempelaliyah.org/updates for details next week.
  • Are you a working parent who needs help with childcare? Are you available to help others? Please fill out this form to request or offer help from other Aliyah members.


Be on the lookout for a text from Temple Aliyah later today as we have implemented an emergency texting system. If you do NOT receive a text before Shabbat, please let us know. You may opt out of these texts, but we strongly suggest that you do not.
