Rehabilitation and Seawall Replacement
Project Fact Sheet
Project Overview and Benefits
The City of Miami Beach is proud to announce that the Madeleine Village Apartments rehabilitation and seawall replacement project will begin soon.

This project is made possible by federal funds provided by CDBG and HOME. The seawall replacement is a step toward achieving a more resilient waterfront and will eventually help mitigate the effects of tidal flooding and rising sea levels.

What's Happening

Construction work for the rehab of The Madeleine Village Apartments is underway and the seawall replacement is expected to begin in late August. Contractors will be working diligently to avoid inconveniencing the residents and neighbors in the area.

Timeline
Project completion is expected within 3 months of project commencement. Construction work hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Extended time is subject to city approval and community notification. This schedule may change due to weather events or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect
  • Several on-street parking spaces near 7861 Crespi Boulevard will be required for construction activities.
  • Moderate levels of noise are expected while replacing the seawall.
  • Heavy equipment, machinery and workers will be present on the job site.
  • The parking lot located at 8060 Tatum Waterway Drive will be used to access the waterway. Parking spaces will be unavailable and the entire lot will be restricted on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. for a period of several weeks.
