School Opening Information from Mr. McDonough
Click here to watch a short opening day information video from Mr. McDonough.

Some key takeaways from his update include:
  • Our teachers and staff are thrilled to have everyone back on campus.
  • We recommend bringing your lunch the first week of school if possible. Students will have one less thing to figure out and be able to simply find their "spot" to eat. We will have a hot lunch available for any student in our Main Street dining area or in the Cardinal's Nest cafe on the first floor of the new academic wing (Rm 1728).
  • Every student will wear an idea. ID pictures were taken at Back to School Check-In and ID's will be distributed to students. We know that it will take time to put our ID policy into effect, but we will actively be working to do so.
  • The new building does not have lockers. Students will carry their laptops and books or use a backpack.
  • The day will be hectic and crowded as that is what the first day is like every year. We have a plan and things will get better so patience is important.
Drop Off Zone and Student Entrances As Well As Dismissal Information
With our new building comes a few new traffic procedures for everyone to learn!

Please note on the image above that the new drop-off zone is on Maple Street as you approach Ferris Street. Once a student exits their car, they should cross the new Bus Lane at a designated crosswalk. They should then proceed to one of the two student entrances. Pull-in parking remains available along Ferris Street.

The dedicated bus lane is one way off Maple and heading North and then East behind the campus. There is not an allowable entrance off of S. Rice Avenue.

If parking on any city street, please be mindful of any posted City of Bellaire parking signs.

We will utilize all the student entrances plus a few more exterior doors at dismissal. HISD bus riders will quickly board their busses while other students should be picked up on Maple, Ferris, S Rice, or another predetermined location. The traffic usually takes about 20 minutes to clear out so scheduling a delayed pickup may be a smart strategy.
Laptop Fee Payment
Check something off of your list and pay your laptop fee now on SchoolPay. If you did not pick up your laptop at Back to School pickup, make sure you pay your fee online so that you can pick your computer up next week.

2021-2022 Bell Schedule
Our Bell Schedule for the 2021 -2022 school year has been posted on our website. The first day of school is August 23rd. Doors will open daily by 8:15 am. (Students that have a zero period should enter through entrance 1 at 7:30am.) Bus riders should proceed to the bus lane at 4:10 pm as buses will load and load and leave in a timely manner.

*You will note that the passing times for the morning and afternoon are different. This will allow us to monitor and adjust as needed once we learn how student traffic navigates our new building.
