Additional Resources for Families
Does your family need help accessing food during the COVID-19 school closures? The Twin Rivers Family and Community Engagement (FACE) department has created a list of resources below to help you receive free or reduced-price meals. Also, remember that Twin Rivers Nutrition Services will continue to distribute meals at 18 school and community sites as well as two mobile routes, Tuesday - Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Apply for CalFresh
Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services can help you put food on the table through CalFresh. You and your family may qualify! They can also help you fill out your SAR7 and Recertification paperwork.
EBT Online
As of April 28, individuals and families will be able to purchase groceries online using their CalFresh food benefits at Amazon and Walmart.
Pandemic EBT (Coming May 2020)
Because schools are closed due to COVID-19, children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals can get up to $365 in food benefits in addition to their pick up meals from school. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT.
Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
The Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services has compiled a list of core agencies that are committed to distributing food and will stay open during COVID-19. Please note the two drive-through distributions at Christian Brothers High School and Encina High School.
