This is one of many home church settings in Acul-Samedi.

Many churches in the U.S. are streaming services online during the COVID lockdown. As the lockdown loosens a bit, some churches are encouraging so-called "watch parties" in homes where small groups of people can watch the service together as a step toward the day full services can reopen.

Well, Haiti can't exactly watch streaming together, but many churches are doing something similar! This is one of many photos from a recent Sunday in Acul-Samedi. Small groups of people are meeting together in home settings, and church leaders are helping them have church this way. Every Sunday, dozens of homes throughout the village have gatherings like this. As you can see in the photo, everyone has a mask as required by Haitian law. Many of you gave so that everyone in the church can have a mask and meet with others. Your help has made a tangible, visible difference!

What we see not just in Haiti, but worldwide, underscores the point that the church is not a place or a building. The church is people who come together, whether by tens or by thousands, to worship our Lord and Savior!

As always, we remain profoundly grateful for your prayers and support during trying times. God is faithful, and so are you!

Blessings to all,
