CONNECT: You Have to Check Out this Amazing Video!!
Connecting from afar in FVSD
Connecting from afar in FVSD

Last week, we asked our staff and students to share the many ways they continue to connect with one another.  The response was fantastic as images and videos poured into our inbox.  We learned of teachers reading to students, classes connecting via zoom and Google, principals delivering morning announcements, students leading their classes in cooking lessons and so much more.  The classroom may look different, but one thing is clear: FVSD students continue to learn, create, and explore.  Thank you to our staff for their commitment to providing distance learning opportunities.  And thank you to our families for your support of your student's academic success.

We would love to celebrate all of the ways that your students are continuing to be creative and caring while away from school.  If you have videos or photos of your students learning while at home, your family spending time together in new ways, or any moment that brings a smile to your face, share it with us.  Email your videos and photos to [email protected] While this may feel like a new world, thriving through challenge is a part of our District's history, and truly #TheFVSDWay.

SPOTLIGHT: Student Meal Program in FVSD
Updated Student Meal Program 4 1

Beginning today, April 1st, our meal distribution for students will take place from 12PM-1PM.  This program will be solely for the pickup of meals and meals will not be consumed on site. We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the school site once meals have been distributed.  In addition, continue to wash your hands often, sneeze or cough into a tissue and stay at home if you are sick.
PLEASE NOTE: School Dismissal through May 1
School Dismissal May 1

In response to the federal guidance provided on March 29, 2020, that extends social distancing through April 30, 2020, and in the interest of the health and safety of our students, staff, and community, we have made the decision to extend our school dismissal through Friday, May 1, 2020.  We know this is such a challenging time for all of us, and we must continue to be vigilant, protecting each other during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please know that we remain hopeful that we will reunite our students and staff, prior to the end of the school year.  And, remember to stay connected by checking your email as well as our District's website at www.fvsd.us.
