CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL
SUBSTANTIAL TO SHELTER IN PLACE

The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.

We also encourage supporting local businesses as can safely be achieved.  Several are offering delivery services, online services, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers and we applaud their efforts.

We encourage you to visit our webpage  https://explorethevillage.com/members/hsv-covid-19/ that is being used to provide the latest updates, including closings and postponements.

We are also using these resources for mitigation planning:

Official Meetings of Board, Staff and Committees
Hot Springs Village wants to ensure that our Board of Directors, staff and committees are able to continue serving our members during this time of social distancing. In order to accomplish that, the following guidelines are to be followed until further notice:
State of Arkansas
Gov. Asa Hutchinson said that there are now 523 cases of COVID-19 in Arkansas affecting 51 of 75 Arkansas Counties. Three counties were added to the list of counties affected today: Perry, Columbia and Newton. So far, 64 people are hospitalized and eight have died in the state.

Hutchinson stressed that Arkansans need to continue their self-discipline and keep social distancing. He said that it looks like its having an effect, with Arkansas trending slightly lower than predictions called for at this point.

Hutchinson said that there is a problem at state parks with out-of-state visitors. He said that many of those visitors are coming in larger groups from COVID-19 hot spots to visit the state parks. He said that the state is looking at ways to curtail out-of-state visitors, particularly at state parks.

You can read the Arkansas Department of Health's travel advisory for visitors from certain states here.

Golf
We are removing all the range ball buckets as of today to further protect our members from COVID-19. The ranges are open and you can bring your own receptacle. Thanks for your cooperation.

Garland County
Garland County is lifting the majority of its burn ban with some exceptions. Most of those exceptions are in Hot Springs, but there is one in Hot Springs Village. Residents are not allowed to burn within one mile of 4419 Highway 7 North, the location of the shopping center near our West Gate, which includes CHI St. Vincent Convenient Care. This location shares a parking lot with McDonald's and Brookshire's.

You can read the partial burn ban lifting here.
