Following the CDC's mask guidance, the Diocese is requiring everyone to wear a face mask both indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status. They are also discouraging fellowship events where masks have to be removed in order to eat. For the time being, coffee hour will be suspended. Congregational singing is still allowed by masked singers.

Thursdays This Fall
St. Martin's and St. John's Somerville are cosponsoring a new course designed by the Episcopal Church to address the problem of racism in our society. This course will involve reading selected works and watching short video clips from a diverse segment of people all talking about their experience of racism. We will also be engaged in honest, prayerful, and respectful discussions. All are welcome, but you are asked to pre-register by sending Father Rob an email indicating you would like to join the class. Blessings to you all.
Fall Family Fun Fest
Calling all Crafters and Bands
This is our one big FUNDRAISER for the year and is for the entire community. Are you or someone you know a crafter who would like to sell your wares at the fun fest OR do you know a local band who would like to play? Email randyali@aol.com. Please consider volunteering for this fun-filled event by signing up below. We need people to run the children's games, face painting, sell food, man the ticket table, etc.

Somerset Chaplaincy to the Elderly
For many years St. Martins has been a great supporter of the Somerset Chaplaincy to the Elderly. SCE places chaplains in nursing facilities/memory care units in Somerset County. It’s an important and gratifying role.
In addition to financial support many members of St. Martins have served on the SCE board. SCE is currently seeking volunteers for the board. Would you please make an announcement in the weekly newsletter and pass along this request. Anyone who is interested can contact me. My e-mail is richard6040@gmail.com. Richard's cell is 908-672-3320.
A Message from the Diocese
The 17TH Annual Bishop George E. Councell Memorial Golf Tournament will take place this fall on Monday, October 11, 2021, Columbus Day, at Mercer Oaks Golf Club in West Windsor, New Jersey. Over the past 16 years, we have raised over $390,000 for the work and ministry of Trinity Cathedral!

Please consider supporting this event by placing a sponsorship or advertisement in this year’s souvenir booklet.

For questions, please contact Dick Koenig (rwkoenig225@verizon.net), or contact Patrice D’Angelo, Cathedral Administrator, at the number on the form.
Acolytes Needed
It is the hope that in mid-September, we will once again be able to celebrate a full and complete Sung Mass on Sundays. In preparation for the return of a more normalized routine, Father Rob is looking for those who would like to serve at the altar. Over the summer there will be training sessions for Thurifers, Crucifers, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers. Please let Father Rob know if you (or your child) are interested in serving.

There is an urgent need for Crucifers. Anyone aged 11 and above, who can comfortably carry the Crucifix in procession, may serve as a Crucifer. Youth are especially encouraged to volunteer.

Anyone aged 16 and above may serve as a Lay Eucharistic Minister.

Please let Father Rob know as soon as possible, so training dates can be arranged.
Prayer Concerns and Blessings Please email your prayer request to Philip at philip.muniz@gmail.com by Friday afternoon of each week.
